New Year, New Start, New Menu at Seventeen
There’s exciting energy in the air as Sydney leaves behind the old, and ushers in the new year.
A feeling of hope fills the atmosphere, as the fireworks light up the night sky.
To the cheers and chants of celebration, many will take a moment to wish for a year full of love, adventure and change. And Seventeen, with love for food and sense of adventure, is no different.
This year, we’ve decided to travel abroad for our Summer offering, drawing inspiration from Sydney’s favourite travel destinations.
Taking cues from the cooking techniques, tastes and textures of the old continent, Seventeen’s new menu reads like a culinary postcard of travels abroad. From the fragrant lavender fields of Provence, the salt-licked coastline of Amalfi, the bustling and vibrant streets of Barcelona, every dish is created to capture the essence of your favourite summer memories.
A chilled gazpacho takes the edge off an Australian heatwave, and a fresh and dainty house-made taglioni dish, with scampi, captures the essence of the sea. An artichoke barigoule sees French cooking at its best, incorporating the earthiness of freshly-grown produce and showcasing it in a way that doesn’t overpower the delight of consuming good produce, and a pretty vacherin showcases raspberries and coconut, the perfect pair, in all their vibrant glory.
Much like a holiday in Europe, our menu has something for everyone, as is all all-embracing.
Coupled with a chilled and crisp Sancerre, a spicy and soft Tempranillo, or a soulful Chianti, we hope our new menu will take you away from the daily grind and send you off on a tasteful adventure.
